How are catch odds determined?
Every cast draws from the pond's actual remaining supply. If 80 of the 200 rare swordfish are left out of 1100 total remaining fish, your odds of hooking one are 80⁄1100 at that exact moment — odds update after every catch.
Why is the legendary whale so hard to catch?
Only 30 whales exist in the entire 2000-fish supply. Even at the very start, that's roughly a 1.5% chance per cast, and it only gets harder as whales are caught.
Can I catch the same fish twice?
No — each mint permanently removes one fish from the pond's supply, so the total pool only ever shrinks.
